Introduction: Spirituality in the workplace, improves performance, satisfaction, motivation among employees and increases productivity in organization. On the other hand, working over load that is called Workaholism, lead to organization goals. This study examined the relationship between organizational spirituality and Workaholism.
Methods: This Study was a descriptive, correlation and cross-sectional study conducted in 2014. Research population, were all nurses at teaching hospitals in Yazd which 170 of them were selected through stratified and systematic sampling. In order to collect data, 2 valid Questionnaires including Miliman organizational Spirituality and Spans and robins workaholism questionnaire, were used. Data analysis was done by using SPSS software and t-test, Chi-square Pearson’s correlation coefficient statistical tests.
Results: Organizational spirituality score mean was 62.72 and workaholism score mean was 70.08. Based on the findings of study, organizational spirituality has a statistical positive relationship with workaholism.
Conclusion : Based on the findings of this study Organizational spirituality is of an affective variables on the Workaholism.Therefore, organizations Policy makers, can operate maximum potency of employees taking advantage of spirituality to achieve organizational goals. Also, they can consider some appropriate strategies toward health of their employees with Workaholism.
