General Guidelines for Reviewers
To review a manuscript, you must be registered as a reviewer. All communications regarding manuscripts will be conducted online. Once registered and logged into the system, you will see the list of manuscripts assigned to you. As a reviewer, you should evaluate the overall quality, scientific merit, and presentation of the manuscript.
Please upload your comments as a Word 2007 document using the track changes feature. Ensure you remove your name from the comments before submission. Submit your recommendation through the online system.
The Editor-in-Chief will consider reviewers’ recommendations and forward anonymized comments along with a consensus recommendation to the author(s). The authors will then make the necessary revisions and resubmit the manuscript.
Once the Editor-in-Chief confirms that the manuscript meets the quality standards of Toloo-e-Behdasht Journal, it will be published. A footer stating the volume number and the official name of the journal will be added to each page. The corresponding author will receive an email confirming the publication.
Review Criteria:
Scientific Merit:
Does the manuscript have the potential to contribute significant new knowledge in its field?
Is the manuscript scientifically sound?
Is the author(s) aware of previous relevant work?
Does the manuscript thoroughly address all necessary aspects of the study?
Are the objectives clearly stated and logical?
Are the methods, designs, and statistical analyses appropriate and thoroughly described?
Are the conclusions supported, objective, and based on the findings?
Does the manuscript demonstrate originality and innovation in its field?
Overall Quality and Content:
Does the title accurately reflect the study?
Are appropriate keywords selected?
Does the abstract clearly and concisely summarize the study?
Is the manuscript well-written and organized?
Are references adequate and consistently formatted?
Are all tables, figures, and graphical representations necessary, correctly used, and interpreted easily by readers?
Can any part be shortened or omitted without loss of important scientific content?
Please provide any overall strengths and weaknesses of the manuscript along with additional comments.
